Catching up after awhile away from the blogs...  Wow, just wow....

The "chirp, chirp, chirp" thread made me laugh...  Where indeed are even the so called "positive" fans comments after games where the Komets win?  I'm sure it got Blake plenty of hits right before the end of the year...  What would you do, buff out or remove the rust before you paint or just keep covering up the rust with paint, hoping it just goes away?

Everyone wanted the Norfolk players gone...  THEY were the reason for the defensive lapses the Komets were experiencing, NOT "our guys"....  Did the 9-4 shallacking NYE prove that wrong, or what?  That was "our guys" on display that night....  I know, I know...they havent prcaticed in awhile, so the forwards cannot be expected to get back into the D zone without a refrersher on the system.

The ECHL could/should look drastically different in the next 2 weeks.  Most teams will have a majority of their AHL players removed from their rosters if the NHL gets the gears moving again.  NHL training camps will be abbreviated; but they will still remove players from their AHL squads who will in turn remove players from their ECHL squads...  Could drastically change the makeup of many teams, especially those with dual affiliations...

Getting Schaus back for even a short time, is huge, IMO...  Caputi and Elkins are both big frames who can score (that always helps)...

As bad as this up and down season has been to watch, the Komets actually moved up a spot in the Conferfence standings to 6th (based on the ECHL's tie breaker policy)

^a little perspective.....
