OK, fair point. I wasn't going into it thinking I was picking on one side or the other. Honestly, I wasn't, though some took it that way. I just wondered to EVERYONE why there are so few posts after wins and so many after losses. I was not trying to drive up hits, because frankly, that's pretty much useless to me. I was simply curious.

Schrock had a huge game that night yet there were no posts at all about that, or anyone else who may have played well. You can track the posts after wins and losses and see there's a huge difference after losses as compared to wins. I don't understand that.

I realize that the majority of internet postings seem to be about negativity, but a guy had four points and no one has anything to say about it? That's what I don't understand. I'm not trying to be criticial, I'm trying to understand it, even though that's always been the case.

Maybe I'm dead wrong, but my intiution is that some people only post after losses.

I still don't understand why some (NO ONE IN PARTICULAR) choose to spend good money and time on something that seems to make them so miserable. I understand being a fan and being disappointed at times, but seemingly most of the time with a team that has won so often? Life is way too short, and I say this as a semi-Cubs and diehard Bears fan, but I get to watch them for free. When the Cubs are out of it by Memorial Day, I turn them off for the year. I said when Urlacher went down that the Bears were done, and I think I watched five minutes the rest of the season.

Do they just need an outlet to vent? Are they happier because of this? I often wonder what the rest of their lives are like, which is probably way over-thinking it. Again, not a criticism of anyone in particular, just trying to understand because I surely don't.

Isn't part of being a fan enjoying the good when it comes, too?

And I think anyone who has read my stories over the last three or four weeks can tell I've been critical of this team and league, too. This could be a very long year, but if the lockout ends, things could also turn around in a hurry. The Komets might be positioned to do very well if that happens because they could lose a lot fewer players than most teams. We'll see.

"There are plenty of places to post and call people names, this is not one of them."  I don't remember calling Crazy Luke any names.  I could tell he was a passionate fan.  My reference to him paying more attention to English Composition came from him stating he attended school wearing a Komet jersey and thinking about the game to played that night. ( I can't verify or prove it as my post was taken down).  So I'm not sure what names I called him. It was a long article (and I know long articles) that would've made more sense broken up in thoughts.  Look, a 16 year old is not a child.  He can express himself.  The use of paragraphs to organize thoughts is not a condemation. I have to congratulate him.  He took it better than most on here.

On Chirp...chirp...chirp I was referring to the style that the thread was written.  Go back and you will see that a large portion was dedicated to the hockey game.  I was very open about my thoughts on Schrock, both pro and con.  Mostly pro Schrock, but also critical of his penalty with seven minutes to go. I'm still not sure about that game although I know they won. Like i said, I wasn't sure what I watched then, and am not still now.  They won and got the two points.  I stand by my reaction of the style and manner that the thread was introduced in, however.

"Yes" to whoever pointed out that sometimes my grammer and spelling may not be perfect.  Sometimes I type faster than I think, and this is for Burgee so as not to be calling anyone's bluff,  there are college kids who submit their papers to me to read and make changes before they are turned in.  I think punctuation, complete thoughts, grammer and paragraphs are important. Sometimes it takes a long time to editorialize a paper so it makes the point, has the proper punctuation, is in proper order of importance while making sure it meets the minimum length.

Thanks to mark 21 with his response regarding some bloggers who call my house.  He knows at least one of them and also knows I was telling the truth.

Thanks to JR1 for his support so far.

Have I missed anything?

P.S.  Regarding anonymous, does anyone else find it comfusing to have two bloggers using the same handle?

The title to the article linked to this thread is "No redeeming value to this game", and you don't see the irony in yourself ridiculing bloggers for posting negative thoughts when they have them? Sure. Pot, meet kettle.

Chief always wanted to keep the other teams shots under 25. This blog is more fun when the posts are over 25.

Boo yah, nerd alert.
