Komets release pair

Ron Cramer and Jeremy Gates have been sent back to Gary Graham and Pensacola of the SPHL to help make room on the roster for J.M. Rizk, Ryan Hegarty and Brandon Marino.

Don't like that they sent Gates back, thought he played well.  His size was needed.

Blake, can you  comment- Anaheim just signed 3 more that were NOT on their pre season roster. 2 forwards and 1 defenseman.  They have made two pre season roster changes already ( prior to this signing)and based on roster size and Norfolk roster size, it  looks like they will either have to move 3 or 4 players ( beside Marino and Rizk) back to the Komets or make  some 2 for 1 trades.

The 3 playersd the Ducks signed had been signed by Norfolk to SPC's before the AHL season started...  The Ducks signed them to NHL 2-way contracts and will reassign them to Norfolk.  A couple Norfolk or Anaheim guys amy find their way back to the Komets, like Brittain and Kennedy....

Should have kept Gates over Wheeler IMO

AHL doesn't have any roster limits and can stick eight guys in the stands every night, too.

I think Wheeler may stick and he could be the guy the Ks have been looking for on the PP.
