If you get a chance to go, you'll be amazed at the skill and effort of these players.
If you have two artificial knees would you qualify to play sled hockey? Normal hockey is out of the question!
Yes Phil, anyone who is not able to skate (standing up) due to a permanent physical condition qualifies to play sled hockey -- feel free to contact me at Kevin@Turnstone.org or at the office 260-483-2100 x 296 -- Kevin Hughes
I played a year with the Pepsi Komets in early 70's and attempted sled hockey in mid 2000's thinking it would be an easy transition. It was far more difficult than it appeared. I couldn't cut it.WEW If you haven't seen a game you owe it to yourself as a hockey fan....they are most impressive!
That would be me. When i get healed and back in shape i will give you a buzz. I'm a ways off yet.
I'm gonna hit towing companies up to sponsor me cause its gonna take one to get me in and out of that sled!
Its like ridding a bike -- everyone looks & feels horrible at 1st but once you get the hang of it you'll love it for a long time. I encourage everyone who tries sled hockey to skate multiple times to give it a real shot
