NOW is the time for all Komets fans to show up tonight and be the sixth man on the ice.

I will be there as a sixth man as will everyone else. I am more concerned about man 1 - 5 showing up.

Well played game by Evansville.  Give them credit; Kromm had them ready to go and he knew exactly how to beat us.  They had Cody set the tone early and then they hit anything that moved all night long.  Their defensemen absolutely crushed our forwards all night and their forwards crushed our defensemen all night.   Anytime we got close to the front of their net, they just flattened us.  On the other hand, their forwards were actually more physical with our defensemen in front of OUR net.  Wonder why a lot of their points were uncontested in front of our net.  Pretty basic hockey.    Not clearing guys out from your own net is something that was expected when I played Peewee hockey for goodness sake.   Blake, I would be interested to hear our coaches reasoning for this.

Did any of our "big" guys throw a check last night?  Syro? nope......Henley?....nope......Firman?......nope.....  as a coach, wouldn't you find that unacceptable after watching us get pushed around by a last place team?  Heck, Wheeler plays with more intensity than any of those guys have.

I'm sure that we will see flashes of improvement here and there during the rest of the season, but the writing is on the wall.  This team has no identity, no special teams, and no leadership behind the bench.  These were all on display last night as we got absoluely humiliated by one of the worst teams in the league.

I now think it is time to start shaking things up....  If teams are looking for some veteran leadership or a missing piece for a playoff run, then I think the Komets should jump on some trades and pick up some ECHL talent and their rights for next season...

IMO, players who should stay due to their constant effort and/or upside:  (not counting AHL/NHL contracted players)

Marino, Dunbar, Firman, Wheeler, Maggio, Rizk and Butler (not his best season; but he's worked hard)...

IMO, everyone else is tradeable...

Let's get some fresh blood in here and see what they can do...

whole_n_one...I agree with everything you wrote except for Firman not hitting...  I saw him throw a few decent checks last night...  He isnt the problem, our vets and tweeners not producing like they should be are....you know...."Our Guys".....
