All kinds of odd and interesting notes in this column
Interesting to me that the power play and penalty kill teams aren't that great this year...the K's are missing something this year...Gary Graham. He was the one in charge for special teams the past couple of years, and while I'm sure Chalk is doing his part to get the team ready each game I believe the team sorely misses Gary's teaching ability for special teams

"The one thing I really enjoy more than anything else is solving problems."--Al Sims
Well, Al must be in hockey heaven. All he's facing now is being short on goaltenders, put up with young defensemen, being light on goal scoring, being too small upfront, one of the worst power play units in the league, ditto on penalty killing, has one too many vets, a goal differential that is below even, a team that takes too many penalties, an agreement with an AHL team that doesn't seem to work ( to be fair the K's had good success with Brittain, Schaus, and Elkins, but most everyone else sent here played as though they were unhappy and had an "attitude", and a schedule that isn't helpful in making the playoffs.
For a guy who likes solving problems, he seems to have a lot on his plate. It's almost a miracle that he has them four games above .500!!
