Tailing the Komets

Some changes

Charlie Effinger's grandmother has passed away and he has gone home for the funeral and will return later in the week. Marco Cousineau is flying from Norfolk to Cincinnati to start tomorrow's game and IPFW goaltender Larkin Saalfrank will be the emergency back-up.

Mike Hoban will not be ready to go this week yet. Brent Henley has not heard of any further suspension from the league so he's clear to play. Colin Chaulk skated again today in practice but is not ready to play yet.

Sorry to hear about Charley losing his grandmother. My condolences.

Blake, help me understand. I see in tonights news-sentinel that Norfolk sent defenseman, Sacha Guimond, to Gwinnett. I know Gwinnett is much closet to Norfolk then Fort Wayne but we have an affiliation with them. We are in dire need of defensemen. What's up with that?

He was originally signed by Gwinnett before getting called up to Norfolk, so he is Gwinnett's property in the ECHL. Just like Lake Erie cannnot send Daniel Maggio to another ECHL, they have to return him to the Komets if they send him down.

Thank you for clearing that up for me, Blake. As always, you are the man.

When it rains it pours....

My sympathy goes out to Effinger and his family at this time. Safe travels as you make your journey home.

They should sign Larry Sterling for some games since he retired, that would be a blast

What if Cousineau has travel delays?
