Tailing the Komets

Gates, Dunbar sent back to Pensacola

The Komets announced Monday that they have suspended defenseman Jeremy Gates and forward John Dunbar so the players may return to Pensacola of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL), where they started the season, and participate in the playoffs. Gates and Dunbar will be reunited with former Komet assistant coach Gary Graham, currently head coach of the Ice Flyers, and will be in the lineup when Penasacola starts the first round of the SPHL playoffs this week.  Pensacola finished the 2012-13 SPHL season in third-place with a 33-18-5 record and 71 points over 56 games.  Gates scored a goal and four points in 17 games with the Komets while Dunbar scored five goals and 10 points during his 17-game tour with Fort Wayne this  year.

Puts the Todd Robinson move in prospective. I see nothing wrong with him wanting to prolong what may be his final season in uniform.

Did I miss the part of the season where Robinson played with Allen only to get called up to the E? I do not see this as the same at all. Now if Chaulk was healthy and went down to Pensacola to try to win a cup, I see the simularities!
