``I'm thankful for the time I've had in Fort Wayne,'' he said. ``I really appreciated the city which has shown me nothing but greatness. It's not fun to have to leave a place that you liked and wanted to be in, but that's hockey.''
Rizk said he was concerned that the Komets had four centers signed already and wondered if he was truly in their plans.
``It's not like I didn't want to play here,'' he said. ``All I wanted was a chance to play and be put in a role where I could contribute to the team. If they are saying we weren't close, then that's their point of view. It's however they want it to be perceived. All I'm going to tell you is I wanted a chance to play and win.''

BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE!!!!
Finally someone has stepped up and said what happened. Good Luck Rizk, you deserve the best and hopefully you will get it there.
Just saw on Eliteprospects.com that Nick Schaus signed to play in Norway, Good luck loved your physical play and offensive style. hope he still becomes a Komet again next season
Too bad, sounds like coach may not have seen it the way JM did,,,,,best of luck.
It's more like Alaska looked over our roster and decided he was the player they wanted in trade that would fit their team without a drop-off of production, and alot of upside.
