Anytime you pay top dollar for something you have very high expectations. Let's hope Tuzz can fulfill those expectations. From what I've read from fans regarding his last two ECHL stops (Alaska & Utah) he has his work cut out for him from a leadership prospective.

Interseting comments regarding the affiliation. The writing seems to be on the wall.

I just read on the ECHL site Elmira signed Mathieu Gagnon... Didn't we sign him already? I could be wrong but he still shows up on the fort Wayne komets site.

This team is built to win. Plenty of I.R. space available.

Its not like Ft Wayne has the only regulation ice surface in minor league hockey and Tuzzolino has never played on a regulation surface before. Lets be real ! He had no problems when he played here before either with us or against us nor will he now. Im willing to bet he has played 99 % of all his games on a regulation demension ice surface.

I just got to say it, you don't understand what you have. I as a diehard k fan am spoiled. The expectations are very steep, and should be, but lets compare ourselves to the rest of the league. I'm going to save my boo and hiss til were mathematically eliminated from the playoffs and the faults have facts. I do respect those of you who are concerned and unsatisfied yet. That energy helps cover all areas we may overlook. Were at a raw stand point and praise should be made, which most of you are already understanding, and acknowledge we have more potential than anyone else. Its the unknown were all afraid of, but shouldn't release our bare behinds. Sure most will get their fair share of AHL two ways but were a team, a young one in development hockey. Our Texas Holdem this year will be all in, we want that cup, then well get that affiliation and relax in the coming years. But good balance of opinions, keeps me level minded.

Questioning the size of the ice...really??? ignorance at its best people. This is a solid signing all around. I have seen this guy around the AHL and he is a team contributer. No, he is not gonna be the leading scorer on the team but will play a very large role on the blueline and with leadership. Something the Komets lost this offseason with guys retiring, walking, or going unsigned. The season has question marks but what season doesn't?? Also Olsen is a big addition as well and I haven't heard many talking about him. Every guy I have seen off that Minn-Duluth squad that won the NCAA has been a great pro player with a strong team mentality...Alex Stalock, Mike Connolly, Jack Connolly...just a few. Glad the goaltending got an overhaul...bring in the youth, win games, get the "fan favs" outta here
