1-0 after one. FW kills off four Wheeling power plays.

We might have taken a couple dumb penalties, but I must say it is nice to see the Komets finishing their checks.

Blake.....what is the intensity level in this exhibiton game compared to what you were seeing practices/scrimmages?

Blake Sebring
Wed, 10/09/2013 - 6:54pm

Impossible to tell because of all the penalties. It was all five on five in the scrimmages, not many face-offs.

Blake how does the team look as a whole? I hear schrock is all over the place and Stang sounds like he is standing on his head...

Again, hard to tell with all the penalties they are killing. You've only got about 12 players who are playing all the time so far.

2-1 Wheeling halfway through the second.

You can listen to the game on the Nailers radio

Backdoor feeds makes it 3-1 Wheeling with second pp goal. Weird thing is Ks lead shots 22-20 despite being down seven pps.

I am listening to the game, this announcer is annoying! That is all!

Schrock and Pat McGrath fight off the ensuing faceoff. Both removed their own helmets. Quick, decent fight. Linesmen stepped in as soon as Schrock's jersey came over his head while he was still throwing.

haha I agree Janice. Loved how he ranted on and on about not getting an official call on why the wheeling goal was waived, yet 2 minutes earlier the same thing happened to the Komets and everything was as it should be.

fighting tips from Chaz Johnson? did the guy throw a sucker punch then skate away?

Blake Sebring
Wed, 10/09/2013 - 8:09pm

Simon Danis-Pepin and Justin Smith fought. They took each other's helmets off this time. Smith threw more punches but I don't think they did any damage as Danis-Pepin had him tied up pretty well. Kind of a draw.

Yes--Komets!

Referee still gave them two minutes for unsportsmanlike, which I didnt' think they were allowed to do under this rule.

Then Kevin Walrod followed up on a rebound to give the Komets a 4-3 lead.
