I found last night's game to be very entertaining. It was easy to see the difference as compared to last year at this time.
Auger's goal from Fleming was terrific as Fleming hustled, took control, and made a nifty pass to Auger. Auger did his job and buried the puck for the first of two shorthanded goals for the K's.
Dunbar and King, playing catch with the puck as they broke in, was a beauty also. My first thought was if someone didn't shoot soon, they were going to skate right by the Wheeling net. As it was the shot came from a tough angle. It was nice.
The tic-tac-toe passing on the power play with Lang scoring was just spetacular. There were certainly lots of positives. Good to see Lang get two.
A few days ago I tried to post a comment detailing the ten forwards who I thought were certain to make the team. (It didn't get printed, but I haven't changed my mind as all ten, except Hauswirth and Vaskivuo played). Vaskivuo is injured and Hauswirth didn't dress.
Folks, this team has good players. There are spots to upgrade, and I hope the powers that be, are scouring the tranactions looking for a gem.
