Tommy Schoegler hoping for steady improvement in broadcasts
I enjoy these kinds of articles...keeps it light, entertaining and covers a wide range of subjects. Thanks, Blake
Tommy, just do the best you can do. That's all anyone can ask. I appreciate the fact I'm able to watch these games. As the season wears on, and you become more familiar with stuff, I'm sure all the "bugs" will get worked out.
Wife and I made the trip to Vegas, got here wednesday, ready for big game tonight. Glad to see komets get another goalie, we sure needed somebody. At least the game will be cheaper than sitting in the casino. This is one place you can loose your A$$ but never lose any weight. Hope we can get 3 wins for the flight back home.
Careful #1 fan. Say arse instead of using special characters. Wish I could go there, im only 5 hr drive.
tommy i thought you did a great job with the play by play. the video was terrible but i know thats not your fault . you should mention that a few times duiring the telecast. keep up the great work!
The Bob Chase fill in was decent on WOWO. Felt in it.
Listen to the game last night , on komets cast , was wry surprised , great job on calling the game you sounded like you have done it for 61 years
I used to watch when Hillard Gates did the play by play with color by Dick Defay. Watching today makes me appreciate those broadcasts more than I realized.
Tommy broadcasting is like watching grass grow....to bad the radio broadcast and the TV broadcast cannot be done together...radio broadcast duo was pretty good especially with Bailey assisting....cannot listen to Tommy....hope for his sake he either gets better or they trade him in
Nice game K's.
i cant believe you can sit there and criticize tommy s. ! without his hard work and love of the komets there would be no telecast from las vegas or anywhere else. he is a sportscaster not a play by play guy so give him a break. its him that got it going and if i was him id tell you to go to h e double hockey sticks and cease any future broadcasts. what great appreciation you show.
Where's the Thumbs up/down button on this site? No such thing? Really? I was wondering why the comments were few and far between on this Komets blog. LMAO I kid I kid. If there was such a thing on here,I would give a thumbs up to Chuckitt for his response to Who/Suz's post. If you complain enough about something,It will go away. In this case,Komets hockey on TV will go away. Do you REALLY want that to happen? I don't. If you don't like how Tommy calls the game,Sync it up with the radio broadcast. It's not hard to do. Thanks Tommy for doing this. Too many armchair broadcasters out there trying to put down others because they think they could do better. :) GO KOMETS!!!
As far as the broadcasts go...I'm just glad these broadcasts exist. Instead of expecting everything to be perfect, I think we should have a little patience. Whatever the problems are, usually a little experience solves them.
There are two methods to deal with this, quit watching or (in a reasonable manner and a polite, informative style) express your suggestions to him for improvement.
I'm sure he wants everything to be better and running smooth also.
Holy Cow!! I just thought to myself that maybe I should take my own advice as it pertains to Obamacare! This isn't the way to start the day!! LOL
Hmmmm, I thought all were entitled to their opinions....seems like others (both of the above) wish to, as others have stated on this "blog" put folks down for their thoughts...better luck next time with your comments
Tommy can continue to run his commentary....and based on picture quality, I would rather listen to the game on radio, where at least it follows the play of the game and does not leave you out of touch with what is going on
Armchair quarterback....hmmmmm, seems that relates to another sport and yes, have them remove it if it cannot be done with a quality announcer and picture....really now
P. S. - appreciation "sir" is earned....wow!
Who/Suz you are unbelieveable. You know what I mean.
While we all appreciate the MyTV programming there are some of us who feel the broadcast would be a greater success and offer more value with a different play by play announcer choice. Someone like Kent Horman who knows the game and has some play by play experience might be a consideration. I'm sure all K's fans want this venture to be a success. I believe another choice at the microphone would increase the odds of accomplishing that.
