Sooo, imo, this bolsters many fans opinions who have said all along that our problems stem from a young, inexperienced coach and an inexperienced front office (at the echl level)....

After all....they recruited, investigated and signed these players....

``The one thing we have, because we have a young group and myself as a young coach who is trying to get better each and every day, if we can keep the same type of group in tact that we like and really build them and mold them over the next 50 games, I like that,'' Graham said. ``I like doing that. I like knowing the guys I'm going to have and those guys are going to know me and each other and how things work.''

This quote sums up the season half way through. We compete every night in a development league, yet the management and our coach treat it as if we are in the CHL, IHL2, SPHL, or UHL.

What top line ECHL players want to sign in FW knowing the chances of moving up the chain are limited, especially with a philosophy like quoted above.

Well Eamon, I think the quote that caught my attention was ..."We want to be four five or six, in that range."  These were the words from David Franke.  I understand, when parsing words, that it is easy to pick and choose.  Re-read the column for yourself so you get the correct context of his meaning.  Still, I'm a little distressed that after 1/3 of the season, the goals for the team aren't more lofty.

I enjoyed reading both columns and I particularly appreciated the "tough" questions being asked, and answered.

Blake, you and I know it's impossible to guage many trades until all the scenarios have been worked out.  Still, isn't it interesting that this trade takes place with a western conference team (Utah) so soon after your article (Western vs. Eastern conference players) comes out?

The trade may not be a perfect one but the timing sure was.

Alan, because of holiday, those stories were written two weeks ago.

Alan, please enlighten us on what IYO is the "correct context of his meaning?"  I am not sure what you mean?

Agree with you on both of Blake's current articles....well written....loved reading them.....yet we are looking at taking another West Coast player....have the K's management read your articles?

My meaning is simply to read the quote, take it in the context in which the story was written, and make up your own mind what it means.

You certainly are capable of doing precisely that.  I'm not here, nor am I qualified, to take quotes from a story and decipher the meaning for you.

I will tell you this, I'm pretty sure we're not done with player movement.  I'm also pretty sure that the locker room problems have not been solved. These are of my own deductions, not any great information from sources.  Sometimes you have to believe what you're "gut" tells you, and I've learned to pay attention to mine as I'm correct most of the time.

We''ll see.

I was perfectly willing to let my comment stand on its own.  You, who/sez, were the one that asked for a clarification.
