King was just wasting valuable ice time. It time to get rid of the dead weight and move on. All 3 guys we traded to Gwinnet are in the line up. Lyon 2 min rough and -1. Kweit 2 min pen  1 assist +1. Hughes +1

Doesn't exactly sound like a ringing endorsement of our development program when they pull him and send him to another division rival that they aren't affiliated with.........

king was sent here for only one reason, he was another of those highly paid guys who the parent team gave up on but still owed money. thats why they sent him to an independent instead of their own affilliate. we got a couple of those guys last year from the ducks.  we probably called dallas and said we wanted him outta here cause he wasnt doing anything. had nothing to do with our system our club our coach our gm or anything other that we didnt want him anymore.

So in other words Chuckit, the Komets were looking for a cheap "keeper" that didn't work out. Not thinking the connections and scouting prowess is showing up here.

A lot of defence of "our system". What system is that? No one is hanging in or is good enough to learn it.

Not saying, just saying.

Someone posted King's twitter comments...sounds like this was a choice on his part.

How he plays away from Fort Wayne will speak volumes...

Do a little research.  Look up why Tristan was released by Idaho.

I think I know what our system is. Play well in 1 out of every 2 or3 games and hang around .500 then if you disagree with Scotty Bowman I mean GG you get shipped out. By the way just watched the outdoor AHL game between Rochester/Lake Erie. Tuzz is in his game of his PTO. Announcer says he's playing well

My system would be to start one year scoring one goal in the first twenty-two games, then back it up by scoring one goal in the first twenty games the next year.  Good system.  Seems to work for him!

Alan, my point was not on the player but the off season recruitment. Seems to be more than a few of those "core" players who couldn't or wouldn't play the "system" are now not good enough.

So why were they brought in to begin with? The bloggers can find out past problems and issues these guys have had in the past.

Weather is going to be an issue for a few days. Everyone travel safely if you need to be out.

I understand what you're saying, Mike.  I was just trying to make a joke.  Maybe I ought to post something like that before every game, huh?  It worked last night.  It was a big goal and probably the exact type of goal he should score.

More to the point of your post, I would submit that I would look at lots of things when recruiting.  King showed talent (and scoring) from other organizations and I would have gambled on him also.

Seems to me that Luciano Aquino was also sent to us in exile from the Islander organization.  I think that one worked out pretty good.  I'm sure that Chaulk,  being in the locker room and captain, could have and probably did have a lot to do with it.

Keep safe and I think we'll see you sooner rather than later as I'm pretty sure cooler heads, using some common sense, will prevail.

no mr totonto expert, the komets probably took on king for two reasons, 1. he definitly proved he could play hockey and he came here probably costing us very little in salary and the hope was he would produce. 2. im sue he was brought in as a favor to dallas. we are independent and it never hurts to network when you can.   remember people, training camp only lasts a few days before the action starts so you dont have a lot of time to evaluate people.  you stock the team with people you know , people your players know and people other people recomend to you and of course those you actually get to scout.  its a crap shoot.  thats why every year its around christmas until the team really settles in with people and system usage.  unfortunatly last year notheing worked and we kept bringing in people.  i think its still too early to tell this year.  and as far as you schrock haters, remember hes a third line guy,  you get anybody on a third line to be a scorer and youre lucky.  as a  former player, hes the kind of guy i would have hated to have played against.

I like you  Chuckitt.  Maturity to see truth in this season.  We dont understand Graham because he's destined above the ECHL, we arent use to his assertive initiative.  When you need to build a positive attitude, you got to roll some heads as examples to get everyone on the same page and potential.  Who has left wasnt decided by Graham, the player did by their attitude or play.  Graham is doing what he needs to do to be successful and move up.  Yes, I believe he'll be given an oppurtunity.  The results you want now and swear by are unrealistic.  But its a heck of ride we as fans enjoy and live by, itll only get better from here on out.

And Chuckitt right on time handing out passes all around for Komets coaching/management.... Bravo sir!

Everything Mike said was accurate. Giving passes for poor preseason recruitment and back ground checks is downright silly.

Many teams do not need to wait for Christmas to have a good team on the ice...

King is now -15     Great start with Evansville going -3.    Wonder how long that will last?

Evansville was desparate for a body, and that is exactly what they got in King.
