You know what?  I have a question about this discussion regarding fighting.  I don't have the answer and probably haven't thought it all the way through so I'd like some opinions on it.  Nobody is right and nobody is wrong so here goes:

If hockey reinstalled the "red line" for offsides, off sides passes, would that diminish the premium built in for speed and thus increase the hitting , checking, and maybe even the fighting?

What do you think?

Possibly. It would also probably decrease concussions.

If I looked at the game sheet correctly, Bellamy played? Did I read it wrong or am I missing something?

That was his brother, Pat.
