Tailing the Komets

Binnington back for Wings

From a Kalamazoo press release:

Hours away from their first visit of the season to the Allen County Memorial Coliseum taking on the Fort Wayne Komets, the Kalamazoo Wings have added goaltender Jordan Binnington to their lineup.

This morning the St. Louis Blues reassigned Binnington back to Kalamazoo from the Chicago Wolves. On Sunday, Binnington played for the Wolves making 31 saves in a 4-3 shootout victory over the Rockford IceHogs.

Blake, a little bit ago I went to the roster on the K's website.  They list Ouellet and Carter but Vermeesch is missing.  Have Ouellet and Carter reported?  Are they to be in the lineup tonight?  I hope so because without them, and Vermeesch apparently sent down, the K's will be shorthanded upfront.

Can you give us an update on the "futures" from Orlando?  Seems I heard that Utah sent cash for Reichard.  Is that accurate?  Whatever you can report would be appreciated.

By the way, everyone, I must confess that I've forgotten how warm 14 degrees can feel.

Well, they must have arrived. No one is available to talk to right now.

Read the story about the Vaskivuo trade to find out about Utah deal and Orlando. That's the most up-to-date information I have.

Alan,

I saw a tweet from Matt Carter thanking the Jackals, and that he was excited to get started with the Komets..that tells me, he's gonna report...

Thanks, Mark.  Yea I saw that, too.  I'm just wondering if he got here.  On the K's roster along with Ouellet.  Vermeesch not listed.  Shows ten forwards. Obviously without the three of them would leave only seven.  They must be here.

I wonder if the K's stay in touch with European players.  A guy like Corey Elkins sure would look good about now.  Not sure when their season ends but it looks as if he's played in 26 games already.  Oh well!  Just dreaming, but he sure would solve an awful lot of ills right now.

They are here and ready to play. Carter has been placed on reserve.
