There's a problem with the ice to the right of the Komets' bench in Elmira and officials have sent the teams back to the dressing room as they try to repair it. Right now, at 7:15 p.m., there's no announced timeframe on when the game will start.

Looks like it's going to be about another 20 minutes. Zamboni cut a rut in the ice, and they are waiting for it to freeze.
Anyone having issues logging into america one site for the game?
I've got it up, but I've had it on for about the last hour. Maybe there's a more-recent problem.
I'm wondering if this game is in doubt. They are past the 20 minute delay mark. Both captains and the officials are on the ice checking out the damage. Komets do not have another trip to Elmira this season, either. Wonder if they would cancel tonight and play Monday, but that would cost the Komets a ton of money because they would have to stay on the road for Wednesday's game in Wheeling. They were planning on coming home first.
Now they are saying another 20 minutes. This is worse than waiting for a school delay.
Sweet, a delay. I thought I would miss the 1st period
Now they are looking at starting around 8:30.
This has to be a Zamboni driver's nightmare.
So, anybody read any good books lately? I could use some suggestions.
If they have to call the game, they'd probably try for Sunday and Monday. If that happens, can't imagine Komets would drive home only to turn around and go back to Wheeling the next day. This could get expensive.
I am reading a good Nora Roberts book...but I am sure you would not be interested in that..lol!
I'm reading "Tales of the Komets", "Legends of the Komets", and "Fort Wayne a Pictorial Love Story". All excellent reads.
Janice, I prefer J.D. Robb ;)
Thanks, yrinthejungle.
Fans in the building are starting to get antsy.
I just finished Game of Thrones and now I'm reading A Clash of Kings. Both are very long but probably could be finished before this delay is over!
I read all of those a few years ago, WF, and then I gave up waiting on George RR Martin to get off his but and finish the next one. Winter is coming.
Blake, I knew you were my favorite sports reporter for a reason! ;)
Darrin as Rourke? Va va voom! LOL.
Blake, Have you checked the thermometer? Winter is here!!!!!! ;)
From book that I did not know. Bob Chase played for Komets. I did not know that but saw picture at Lees Famous Recipe on State and Wells. If you go to see picture of Chase ask Millie to show you.
He just rolled his eyes...lol!
But we don't have any wildlings or White Walkers, WF.
The odd thing is that playing in that game is what pushed Bob over the top for the Lester Patrick Award last year. With all the things he has done, that doesn't make sense, but that's what happened.
Albarani is back on and said the game is going to start soon..players are back out there.
That's a wasted hour and 40 minutes I'll never get back. They better win.
Komets have absolutely NO legs early. Like they are skating through mud.
Marino from Southorn and Pepin. Nice BH by Southorn and Marino cleaned up the rebound.
Nice goal for not having any legs!
Wonder if the Elmira player is Harry Young at heart.
Couldn't resist.
Power-play goal by Pepin from Szydlowski. That was an awful-looking power play but it worked, ending a string of 18 straight power plays without a goal. It was a blast.
We have a Kenton Miller sighting and it's 3-0. This is the best first period they've played all season.
again, pretty good for not having any legs...maybe we should have a delay of game more often!
