The big question is, will they report to the komets or did David forget to include that garantee clause.

So we get something for Vasc.... I will say this again..WHEN DO WE GET SOMETHING FROM ORLAND FOR GIVING THEM THE LEADING GOAL SCORER IN THE WHOLE LEAGUE. THIS IS RIDICULOUS.

I don't have ANY problem with the trade.  Vaskivuo wanted out, I contend his influence had a lot to do with Lang wanting out, and am surprised that the Komets were able to get as much as they did from Elmira.

What does surprise me is the quotes, "they are both offensive guys, and the big picture is trying to get some more offense and some bigger bodies around the net.  Both of these players will go to the net and look for rebounds."

On the surface I think those comments and wishes are wonderful.  They demonstrate some realization of Komet weaknesses this year and the want to solve them.

But quotes are just quotes.  How about  "younger, faster, hungrier"?  "Toughness"?

Sorry, but I am way past just believing in what someone says.  I need to see it demonstrated on the ice!

Do that, and then I will be surprised.

We already received our player for Lang and he did not show up.....our loss for not putting in the clause, for guaranteing a player no matter what....all we are waiting on now is another future consideration.....as we are from Utah.....thats life fans.

I am more concerned with the two guys mental attitude over their current stats or how many teams they have played for in the last couple years. If they roll into the locker room with positive attitudes, fit in with the current guys, and play within the coach's system then all the rest will take care of it self.

I would think everyone would be happy that we got two decent players in the deal could have been far worse. Fans should welcome these two guys and wish them the best over talking how worthless they are. I just wonder if some so called Komet fans want these two players to fail so they can look smart over the Komets winning?

Maybe, if Southorn goes on sound off, we could ask him how these two new guys are.....seems he has played with them since that is where he came from in the Tuzzolino trade???

Not me, OldHockeyFart, not me.

I hope these guys come in, bang bodies, score goals, attack the net, fit in nicely with the rest, and complement the second line ( or even the third) in order to create headaches for the opposition.

WhoSuz is correct.  The Komets are waiting on the "futures" from Orlando.  Rumor has it that the guy is serving a suspension and won't be announced until it expires.

By the way, and continuing the quote "theme" from my post and the thread, maybe these guys will finally be the guys to get in the "gritty, greasy area".  Remember that one?

JR1 with or without an affiliation should had made no difference to the players you reference. They signed ECHL & not AHL contracts. So even with an affiliation the respective players would have needed to sign an AHL contract once they got called up.

If a player performs to the level that NHL scouts think they could help their AHL team they would sign them to an AHL contract and they would be gone, regardless to what our GM or coach thought. With Internet TV game coverage NO PLAYER is hidden from the eyes of management of higher league teams. So if a player doesn't draw interest from a higher league is because there is no real interest!
