The Komets asked for an ECHL review and Chris Lawrence has been fined and not suspended for hitting Komets goaltender Ben Meisner. Meisner is able to play today.

Another theory I heard today: Komets saw the ref raise his arm for the penalty, figured it would be a major so they all backed off. But then they were shocked that wasn't the call.

If that's true why did they not the guy the next shift? They had an entire period. I'm not buying it . They are scrambling for excuses as I see it. They will have their chance today since the clown wasn't suspended. Well see if they do anything

LOL......yes lawrence is starting......what winger do we have to line up with a guy that is 6'4", 225 lbs? hmmmmm..........yeah....don't hold your breath on anything happening on the opening draw.
I would think that someone would go after him though at some point during the game. If not, it will be the first time in over 30 years of watching hockey that a team would just let something like this go.

Someone forgot to tell K-zoo that this is not a hitting league......they put a couple of great hits on us in the first. Glad we came out and set the tone with a physical presence on our home ice. Must be that it is too tight of a game at 0-0 to start hitting anybody.

Good win tonight in regulation versus a team they are chasing in the standings.... This current lineup the past 2 nights has looked strong. Captain is doing his best "leading" from the stands...
Good thing Lacasse was on his game because Gates was terrible... Martine was very strong and is playing well...

I have good news for you...the olympics are starting next month so you can watch all the figure skaters in skirts that you would like! We are all glad the Komets won, but, for my entertainment buck, I want to see real hockey with more than a hand full of body checks in a game and not see any more of our goalies taken out without retalliation from anyone on our team!
