Can't tell you how tempted I was to re-use last Monday's column about how the Komets need to find consistency after last night's game.

Looks really weird to see somebody other than Mathieu Curadeau to wear No. 94. He had a birthday this week and is now a player agent.

Gary stuck with Southorn and Hartman together tonight. I wondered if he would mix them up.

Their big forwards are really nailing our defensemen.........i lost count of how many times we could have thrown a good check and either veered away or just plain stopped.  Blake, is this part of Gary's game plan?  We are the only team that i ever seen that consistently passes up opportunities to lay a check on someone.

Looks like Men playing against boys Our powerplay is awful no organization trying cross ice pass through 2 defenders. If they don't pick up they will get blown out tonight.  I would there has to be some unproductive guys playing for jobs tonight Carter, Ouellet, and Miller.  Szydlowski has shown nothing all year 7 pts in 32 games unbelieveable Rochester needs to recall him.  How much more ice time can you give to guys who do nothing they don't score, hit, or fight so what value are they???  

Only 3 shots for the entire first period? With 2 PP chances? We're lucky to only be down 2 scores.

I doubt Rochester wants him. He got sent here to get buried.

That period reminded me of the game against Reading last year.  You know the one, where we looked like a bunch of high schoolers playing against pros.  Only difference is we weren't down 6-0 at the end of 1.  Should be a real wake up call of where we are at.  Makarov still can't control a rebound to save his life.

And as I say that we play some inspired hockey to start the period and look halfway decent and score a goal.

It's amazing what a team can do when they quit screwing around at the blue line and focus on getting the puck to the net and getting pucks deep.
