To me there is a big difference in being patient and being "stonewalled". I understand the hesitation Franke feels. However, someone not answering calls, not returning messages, seems a clear indication that the league office needs to get involved or notified.
If you don't, then the blame rests on you also.

Orlando is too busy, they are on a 10 game winning streak right now, no time to break up a winning team to give us a good player. The league will just laugh this off. They dont have time to baby sit a trade that 2 grown ups should beable to work out.

You're probably correct, #1Fan. Still there has to be some time limit on working out trades. There probably is. I guess I'm way beyond whose fault this is. I've never much cared for "futures" trades.
Received my 2014-15 season ticket information packet in the mail today. It calls for a 3-4% increase in season tickets. Third year in a row for increases. Hard to believe anyone would be nervy enough to ask for more money after the drama of the season and the very poor home record. While 3-4% isn't all that much, this would've been one year that I thought they'd hold off. Again, I was wrong.

Did I hear wrong? I thought Franke said on radio at Florida last Wed. that he was going to wait until summer to decide on a player from Florida. Both Florida and Utah. I know he said he was pleased with the roster as it now stands and probably would add only a junior or college player whose season had ended. Did someone change the tune?

Trades..let them work it out..let's move on
As 2 ticket prices, I do not find the increase 2 be out of line..u need 2 pay the players...move on

Just trying 2 comment on the thread. Maybe the price increase is 2 low. I guess it's time 2 move on 'cause Who/Suz says 2.
The effort 2 put "to" instead of "2" just must be 2 much. 2 funny!

So are you the only one allowed to have an opinion on this topic? He simply expressed his opinion. Just because he said move on doesn't mean you have to.

The ECHL salary cap went DOWN $400 this year.

The Frankes have no shame. Just keep raising ticket prices. Soon there will be no more komets because people will not be able to afford it anymore.

This is hilarious! We have had the advantange of seeing some amazing athelics on our rink. These young men are more educated, disciplined, conditioned than anyone sitting in the stands. We have a Jungle with the Komets but it isn't the Roman Arena--These are very hard working guys who work more than a 40 hour week when you consider the all the conditioning they do. I am sick of hearing how much they get paid--it really isn't very much given what they have to endure. The jobs they do during the season as well as off. The Franke's get it and it is their investment. How much community service do any of you do? The team goes out to the community every week they are home and make a difference. What are you doing If you want to whine--go somewhere else.

Wow, sounds like Alan is the one being told his opinion isn't valid or allowed. He simply stated his thoughts on the increase and gets told to move on or go somewhere else. I've never read a comment from Alan in which he acted like others opinions don't count. I see the exact opposite quite often.Don't get it.

I would sure hope the players are in better codition than me i'am 70 years old. As far as whinning I will whine all I want I pay to watch this. I have watched Komet hockey for many years and I know what good hockey is and it is not what I see this year. As far as education you have no idea of my education futher more it does not matter. If my work results was anywhere clos to the Komets work results I woul have lost my job. I plan on whining here.

ampm komet...well said. Winning a 5 team league is different than a 22 team league, ay? We got spoiled but at least we are competitive this year. The K's looked crisp last night, just a little out of place a couple of times on some rebounds.

Wow..again, slamming the entire fan base..making the assumption that there are no well educated, hard working and generous fans is unbelievable. Or even implying all the fans are inferior to this group of guys...not sure why that is considered a great comment. Plenty of fans in the stands do community service and are intelligent people. My father is one small sample, he was a college professor until retiring 3 years ago, he now volunteers many hours a week helping kids struggling with t for life and sure he has complained about this or that this season, he is rough on Graham, but he respects every player and coach the Komets have had. He also wishes the proves would not be raised...and that's ok.
Not sure why I felt the need to comment..I shouldn't care if someone makes silly judgments on my friends, family or fellow fans. Guess it just has gotten old. Posting opinions is just not fun or interesting anymore because it has turned into calling people cry babies, whiners, unintelligent, spoiled etc.. Here is one less person you will have to prove wrong or insult.

Don't let them get you down, AJ.
Two things. I overheard a conversation one time where someone said, "you may have more education than I do, but that doesn't make you smarter than me." I thought about that for a few minutes and concluded his thought was absolutely correct. I had a brother-in-law who was a professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Oh, he had brains in his field of study but he was dumber than dumb when it came to life. In fact, I'd take a doctorate in "common sense" any time.
As far as community service goes, there are many people who give in many ways to help others in need. I'm not sure that I know anyone good enough to make a judgement on others. Do you?
Keep posting, AJ. (I'm running out of friends on this blog).

Oldguy45 keep whining and I'll be right there with you, especially with the way this years team has played and when our coach is content with a losing record at home and still Charmin soft style of play.
AJ, that may have been one of the best posts of the year and if it weren't for the fact I've quit spending my entertainment dollar on the Komets this season I would have loved to have bought you a drink.
Alan, I have never read a post of yours I disagreed with, ever. This kindred spirit's got your back.
AMPM, just curious if you know any of us that comment here? Do you know how many hours my wife and I donated to community service over the years or how much money we've donated to charities? Some of us may do work that actually saves lives on a daily basis and may work 80 hour work weeks or more.
It's a shame that others feel you have to toe the company line on comments and if you stray from their idea of what that should be you are made to feel inferior in some way. If you're happy with the way this season is going that is great. Just because I don't have the same view doesn't mean I'm going to bash you for this. Please extend that courtesy when my or others views don't coincide with yours.
