NHL players in the Olympics

I understand the Olympics are a pain in the backside for NHL teams which are shut down for three weeks in the middle of the season. I also understand that the Olympics are probably the greatest marketing tool and best chance to introduce the sport to new fans. I also want to see the best athletes possible at the Olympics.

So the question is, do you want NHL players in the next Olympics? Why or why not?

The  American let-down before the bronze medal game was disappointing. From an American point-of-view it got a little easier to say forget the NHL players.

I say go with no NHL players. It would affect all nations more-or-less equally (maybe Russia and the KHL gain an advantage) and leaves the major pros to their season without disruption.

I agree. I want to see the very best hockey possible and that is in the Olympics.

I'm going on BS Sports Show at 3:30 p.m. today to talk about this.
