Southorn loaned to Hamilton

From a Komets press release:

The Komets announced Thursday that defenseman Jordon Southorn has been loaned to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL, the primary affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens.  Southorn, 23, is a fourth-year pro.

Southorn (south-horn), a fourth-round pick by Buffalo in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, started the season with Elmira appearing in three games (1 goal, 4 points) before skating three games with Dundee in England of the EIHL (2 assists).  Southorn was subsequently traded by Elmira to Fort Wayne where he has amassed nine goals and 23 points in 39 games to date.

Southorn is the best defenseman we have, or should I say had. Congrats to Southorn but that doesnt help us much.

Very definitely is a one-way street out of Fort Wayne for the AHL.  From memory, I believe we have received two players from the AHL for development.
