Guardedly optimistic! I think the Komets have been playing well of late but they need to continue the agressive style of play. If they become over confident or complacent then it will be a long end to the season and my playoff deposit will end up being my season ticket deposit for next year.

I feel as confident about them right now as I did during the preseason ( and at that time I was very confident). Its been a long, hard path to get to this place, for sure.
I don't want to jinx this thing, but their play has been much improved (both with the puck and also without the puck). Sometimes the passing can get a little "messy" but it has improved also. The important thing for me is to realize that they are all ECHL players. Not NHL, AHL, but young guys trying to move up.
Maybe I would have a better clue how to answer this question if I could see them at full health. With Dale on the IR I can't help but wonder who Graham would "sit". Fleming's return gets them real close to having two lines who can score. How long will he stay?
The penalty kill has been great (maybe the highlight of the season so far). I firmly believe another two players could set us up for quite a run. One would be a strong stay-at-home defenseman, the other would be a strong center with faceoff skills.
This team is so close, closer than they have been for quite a while. I hope D. Franke will not rest because of this late success and still try to improve the club. He may be hesitant to change things up a bit and leave well enough alone. I think that would be a mistake as you should always try to improve your team.

With a win tonight and a reading loss, we could be tied for third place in the league. We need to realize we have a pretty good team. I hope we win tonight and Peps can play.

I have great confidence in the team for tonite's game, and more so for the remander of the weekend's games. With the return of Flemming, and Denis-Pepin to the lineup, we will have better two way coverage.I just wish that Dale was also in the lineup.
I think it will be a hard hitting game. Cincy will do whatever it takes to keep us from beating them twice in their Barn. We just have to begin and complete all of our checks, make Cincy keep their heads on swivels all night.
All I can say is "Go KOMETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

If they can keep the face-offs in Cincy's end, and have more S.O.G., then things should fall into place.

Couple of things to watch for tonight. The Komets have been working on going after rebounds from 10 feet and in instead of three feet and in. They realized they weren't able to get to rebounds if they were too close, especially if defensemen were fronting them. Another thing is they are keeping the third forward higher in the zone so he can attack the slot with speed coming in. It helps defensively and offensively.

Very good first period. Can already see a goaltender duel devveloping. Embach has four goals against the Cyclones. What a pick-up he's been.

Had a player tell me within the last week that it feels like everybody has finally bought in and understood the system Gary Graham wants the guys to run, and they are all very confident with it. Guys have stopped questioning it and just started trusting it and that's why the turnaround. They aren't thinking, they are just playing, reacting with confidence.

One thing I've noticed of late is that when the Komets give up a bad goal because it's soft or a turnover of late, they come back hard the very next shift and that momentum shift doesn't continue. They'e really evolved that way this season. Early in the year that would lead to a killer slump in the game.

Nice win Komets! Saw Brampton (CHL), signed Ahmed Mahmoud, maybe old news! Bad game by Gates but he's young & shows heart & willing to battle! If anyone on "D" needs to go or look over his shoulder its Hartman, done nothing all year Off/Def wise, doesn't hit & is a negative ! I'll take Gates over Hartman any day! NICE FEW WEEKS & STRING OF GAMES, GO KOMETS

Hartman is a rooki number one, he also has been playing on the top defensive line some with peps absence and has done a pretty dang good job so far this season. Gates has let people by him countless times for goals. We all were harsh on Tuzzolino when this would happen. Hartman at least takes his man off the puck.

Respect your opinion but even Gates has more points in half as many games! Your right Hartman doesn't get noticed good or bad & that can be a good thing!
