Tailing the Komets

Komets acquire Mitch Bruijsten

From Stockton for future considerations. He's a 6-4, 195-pound forward.

``He's a tall, rangy kids who skates very well and has good hands around the net,'' Komets coach Gary Graham said. ``He should be a good power-play guy. This past year he started in the SPHL and since he went out to Stockton he's made the most of his opportunity. He's a younger player with I feel some good potential.''

Brujsten, who turns 25 next week, has six goals and 21 points in 26 games this year with six penalty minutes.

As for defenseman Matt Bruneteau, ``He's a  defensive defenseman,'' Graham said. ``He was a team captain at Lake Superior State, led their team in shot blocks and is an energy guy. He has two borthers who also play D1 college hockey.''

All three players are expected to be eligible and available to play Friday night.

The Komets also played Dean Ouellet on 21-day IR with a concussion. They asked the league to review Nick Sirota's hit on him from Sunday, the ECHL there was inconclusive evidence of a high hit.

Swell another SPHL player. I'm sure he will be a big help.
