Blake I see Max Strang signed a contract today. Is Meisner not healthy? I thought he got the clear to play. Do you have any idea whats going on?

Ben is fine physically, but they want to make sure he's 100 percent mentally before allowing him back in the nets.

Is he in the net at practice?

OK, look at it this way: He's just been through a traumatic event, and the Komets need to be 150 percent sure he's totally ready to go because they can't screw around with these last eight games. Then, like I said, his teammates have to trust him that the same thing is not going to happen yet again. There are a lot of factors involved.

That's a very interesting take on the situation, Blake.  Obviously with the HIPPA laws and regulations one has to be very careful.

To answer the question of #1Fan directly, required a measured response and the parsing of words carefully.  I think you achieved the point without without stepping over the boundry of journalism ethics.  Good for you.

I am hoping that whatever is ailing Ben Meisner  completely vanishes soon.  His place on the team, ice, and roster is not near as important as his health.

I'm 99 percent sure Ben will not be making the trip to South Carolina.
