Lets go Ben....sounds like you will be played til you drop, based on Graham's comments last night on TV.  Best of luck to u and the K's.

Blake:  RE: Your story - You said that Meisner got key wins against, among others, Reading.  Makarov got our only win against Reading (Dec 2) this season.  Meisner wasn't even on the roster yet, nor for any of our games against them.

Some random thoughts.

Some interesting stuff on the ECHL transaction page.

Alaska let Molle (D) go.  Cincinnati let Howe (G) go.  Wheeling let Boak (D) go.

For a team that needed some goaltending,  Howe would be an interesting choice.

Some teams are getting "loaded" up.

I agree that for goalies, reputations are built during the playoffs.  Along with those listed by Blake I would submit the name of Don Atchison (of the '72-73 Turner Cup team).  He filled in very nicely during the season and took control of the net after Irons broke his hand during a fight with Flint's Merlin Jenner.

On the other extreme I find it kind of disheartening that Kevin St. Pierre isn't remembered better.  He did so much for diabetes and youth.  He just never seemed to win the big game in the playoffs.  He was a stud during the regular season, however.

I like the forwards on this team very much.  I'm going to list one for special consideration from my fellow bloggers.  It probably isn't one you would come up with first, but here goes.

I have been watching Matt Carter very closely on the ice.  Not only does he have good size and speed, he seems to get to the net.  He was a "minus" with Elmira, but is in the "plus" column with the K's.  He doesn't get a lot of press, but has been a very solid player for the team.

That's it!

I agree Alan, I am loving Carter, We have noticed him in good position, close to the net and love his hustle.

Love the new kid Sefton...plays the position well, holds his ground, has his head up and is not afraid to get in and mix it up....nice size as well.

the biggest thing i like about carter is that he shoots the puck every chance he gets, i would love to see him on the first pp unit.

Can we trust that  Meisner doesn't have an episode where he has to get off the ice?
