Blake you are 100% correct about Meisnier's parents, especially his mom. I met them in line in Fort Myers this winter before an Everblades game. Ben was playing that night and mom was so nervous it was unreal. I tried to calm her down and told her Ben would do great. He did and the Komets won.

Meisner has just been awesome!  I don't know what else the guy can do.  He only allowed more than one goal once in the entire series.  Now if the guys could just add a little more offense up front this team will be unstoppable.  Keep up the great work, Benny!

I was just thinking to myself that the K's have now won six games in a row at home but I didn't realize it was actually nine out of ten overall.  Let's keep that streak going!

I'm looking forward to the next round.  I guess I'm hoping it's Cincinnati because I'm not sure I want to see Mickey Lang on Coliseum ice for a long, long time.  I just don't like that guy right now because of all the turmoil he caused.  Plus, I'd like to see Embach put it to his old team, and it will be an easier commute for Komets fans.

Hope the team uses this time wisely to prepare and rest up for the next round.  Go K's!!!

Reading didn't disappoint as they attempted to draw the k's into trouble even during war ups. Even during the game they made attempts to bump and verbally upset the K's goalie. The Komets maintained their ground and stood tall WO taking needless penalties.

It appeared the Komets didn't want to make a major error during the first two periods and sadly the lack of the forechecking gave Reading easier breakouts then they had been afforded the two previous games. As the third period and overtime progressed the Komets got stronger. The Komet goalie played the way teams win playoffs, in that some games they have to carry the team.

What was nice in last nights game is every player played as hard as they could. Now as they rest up and prepare for the next round is it will demand more and demand following the game plan to a finer detail.

Congrats to players, Coach, and staff for a job well done. Let's keep the ride going!

Blake, if the pushing and showving during warmups, in the absence of officiating, had turned into actual fisticuffs, what league and civil rules would have applied?

What I love to see is the passion and excitment in Ben with his play. In each of the big wins he has been so overjoyed when the final buzzer is sounded. Last night he was even trying to point out the "too many men" by skating out to the faceoff circle and jumping up and down. Let's see this roll keep going!

Ben just might be another one of the great goalies Fort Wayne Komet Teams have been blessed with.  He's closing in on making a name for himself.

The entire incident was recorded from above, Scarecrow. The league will fine the teams and individuals if it deems appropriate. Also, every time a player comes off the ice after the end horn at warm-ups is also a fine to the team.

Monardo was instrumental in starting the fracas. He continually skated to the center line and "talked" to Meisner who was there stretching. You could tell exactly what he was trying to do. Just knew it had to be Gens who knocked Southorn's helmet off. Reading came out with nothing but intimidation on their minds. So glad Graham came out on the ice and our boys backed off.

Does anyone have video? Or is any video of said incident available?
