Tailing the Komets

All falls apart

Second period was awful for the Komets as Cincinnati scored four goals on 18 shots, limiting the Komets to six. Komets look like they are the tired team tonight. Can't really pick on any one person or group, but nobody looks sharp tonight for Fort Wayne. Cincy's goals are coming from in close, low slot. Not much chance for Ben Meisner who looks human for the first time in the playoffs.

Here's Matt Carter's goal on a backhand.

Just a horrible second period for the K's.  Only 3 guys stood out tonight for K's Syd, Carter, and Clarke.  Their passing again has not been very good and to me Auger looks slow perhaps he is playing hurt.  If anyone has the solution to the Komets power play problems please forward to management ASAP never seen a team struggle as much as this one.  There is no organization of the PP unit.  Well they accomplished what they needed to do get 1 win

Let's not forget this is how they started last series and came home to take care of business. Let's get it done boys. One game at a time!!!!

Auger's shoulder has been hurt for a while now.  Don't know how bad it is but it must be pretty bad for him to be playing like this.  I can't believe I'm gonna say this, because I have been Chris Auger's #1 fan here for quite a while, but maybe when we get back to Fort Wayne we swap him out for Nutkevich or Dale just for a game or 2 to try to get him healthy.  It's pretty appearant that he (not of any choice of his own) is holding back Marino and Flemming.
