Huge traffic snafu on 75 S added an hour to the trip but we got here anyway.
Nic Leduc is the referee tonight. It's about 20 degrees warmer in Cincinnati than it is in Fort Wayne so I expect the ice to get soft in this old building. Air conditioning is cranked here, but it's not all that cool.

they are really mixing up the lines. As best I can figure right now, it's Carter, Szyd and Clarke; Embach, Dean and Marino; Auger, Fleming and Christian and Schrock is extra.
I see the Komets powerplay is still horrible missed opportunity. THis will be the down fall of this club in this series they have never addressed it all year

CIncy dominating once again Komets not playing the boday and K's only had 5 shots on goal with a power play. The Komets can't skate with Cincy and they have tried all series too match speed for speed not going to happen Cincy much better. K's have to play the body and crash the net. Was Marino and Fleming on the ice that period??
Shots 16-5. After the first power play, the Komets had only one serious shot on goal the rest of the period. Cyclones when right after Southorn on the first goal, and Maione and Marino got toasted on the second on a beautiful play by Megan. He split them and then went top shelf.
Cincinnati looks loose and relaxed, and Komets look asleep.
I just said this somewhere else, but to get the point across I will say it here. If you don't believe in affiliations after that period and for that matter all series, you are clueless. We just got torched by AHL talent.
What a sad effort that period was... Only 5 shots and no real threat to score. Hopefully they show up this period and make a game of this!
How this team didn't come out with their hair on fire is beyond me. Do a degree they have had this issue all year in many ways.

The only goal that was Benny fault was the first one when he kicked it in after trying to make a kick save. The other two the D left him hung out to dry.
This was a team that was not smart all year. To many mental mistakes and little desire to do what it takes to win. Hopefully we get an affiliation next year. This season pretty much sucked.
Gotta agree with Whosuz: time to change radio voice. Chase will never retire. But he cant keep up. Why no Shane tonite to tell us what is happening? Move him out and save him from embarrasing himself further.
Maybe when the chase haters get up there in age and still doing what they love to do,we can try to force them out. I say GO BOB. Keep it up. Bob IS Komet hockey. If you all don't like to listen to Bob then there are other ways to listen to the game. See you all next year. :)
