Tailing the Komets

Great game, tough loss

First, after Cincinnati had battled back to tie 2-2, Kaleigh Schrock did the near-impossible and beat Rob Madore's glovehand.

Then Josh Birkholz  beat everyone up the ice to put the puck over Ben Meisner's right shoulder and force overtime.

Then in the overtime, the Komets turned the puck over deep in their own zone and Birkholz set up Jonathan Hazen for the game-winner.

Coincidence that Coyle is in both of those Cincy goal pics? Coyle is the biggest stumbling block to this team. He was on the ice for 3/4 goals tonight and has no idea what's going on 100% of the time.

I agree it was a great game to watch the battle tonight, but 2 costly mistakes by Coyle hurt the K's tonight and perhaps the series.  His two blunders were on the first goal and the second goal.  The struggles of Fleming and Marino is still a major concern.  Fleming is a team worst -10 with only 2 pts and only has 19 SOG.  Marino has 1 goal and has 2nd worst +/- at -8.  These two have got to have better production in order for the K's to have a chance.  If someone would have said that Schrock would have more goals than Fleming, Auger, and Marino at this point of the playoffs you would have been called crazy.
