Komets re-sign Schrock, Embach

From a Komets' press release

The Komets announced Monday that forwards Kaleigh Schrock and Mike Embach have agreed to terms and will be returning to Fort Wayne for the 2014-15 campaign. Schrock and Embach become the first two players to be named to the roster.

Schrock, 29, will be entering his sixth consecutive season with the Komets and as a pro and will be returning as Komet Captain.  The Fort Wayne native began his pro career in 2009-10 helping Fort Wayne to the IHL Turner Cup Championship.  Schrock also earned a championship with Fort Wayne while a member of the Central  Hockey League in 2011-12.  The right winger has collected several Komet team awards including the Rookie of the Year Award in 2009-10, the True Komet Award in 2010-11, is a three-time recipient of the Komets' Mr. Hustle Award and repeated as Fort Wayne's True Komet Award winner last season while leading the Komets with 158 penalty minutes and scoring five goals and 13 points in 68 games.

Embach, 26, will be entering his fourth pro season this year.  The left winger started last season with Cincinnati and Gwinnett before being traded to Fort Wayne in December where he finished the season with career highs of 28 goals, 25 assists and 53 points in 68 ECHL games.  Embach also led the Komets in post-season play with five assists (tied with Shawn Szydlowski). The Orland Park, Illinois native was honored last season with Fort Wayne's Unsung Hero Award at the end of the season.

While others last season pummeled Schrock, I was always a supporter and LOVE this news.  Glad to have you back.

Also, glad to see Embach back....loved his play and attitude.

IHL2/CHL = big Schrock fan...

ECHL = not a Schrock fan

If he channels the player he "was" his first few seasons here, he can be successful... if he, and the Komets, believe he can be a "scorer", then we will get much of the same as his last 2 seasons....unproductive and not any fun to watch....
