Blake can you find out how the K's agreed to honor the clause in Southorn's contract? Was that something he had in place with Elmira? I would imagine they would have wanted to retain Southorn's rights in the event they couldn't sign him they could trade his rights at later date? Not sure I understand this clause and how it benefits the K's. It would all make sense if that was something Southorn agreed to with Elmira and the K's had to honor that agreement to validate the trade with Elmira.

Sgriffith, I'm not trying to be funny now, but after this last season would anything surprise you regarding trades?
I guess I'm just happy that the Stockton "futures" has to be settled soon. I've grown to hate these "futures" trades.
By the way, Sgriffith, my daughter was the head manager for Ball State's football team while you were there on the staff. Would it be too personal of me to ask how your son is doing? I hope things are going well.

Alan thanks for asking about my son Isaac. He is doing great, around Easter he was given a stress test and he was at 90%, and that was just a little over a month out from the accident. He resumed full strength and conditioning activities at the end of April. The doctors expect him to be full go come the start of camp. All I can say we are very thankful and he is looking forward to this season. I never have witness a miracle but I saw one with my very own eyes and every time I see him. They were given a chance to take a 3 week break at the end of school before reporting for their Summer period, he decided to stay in Bloomington and continue to work out. That told me he was feeling really good. I hope your daughter had a good experience with us at BSU, drop me an email wsgriffith@manchester.edu.
