Pretty sure you'll all want to talk about this:
I'm guessing there will be a lot of talk about the change to the fighting rule, but I'm not really sure it makes that much difference any more? When's the last time you saw a guy get involved in two fights in a game? It's been forever.

Brett Smith a couple years ago the first game after the Gens/Auger clip job had 2 fights. Gave me the greatest quote in the history of hockey. "Way to stand up for your brother Gens, you wipe his a** for him too?" I miss Smitty.
Everyone does. He needed to come here when he was 10 years younger. He'd have been a God.
He was one of our best for sure!
I would have no issue with this change if they truely called the instagation rule. Maybe they would be more willing to give them out if it matters more with this rule change.
With the OT rule, I'm not sure I like it. I love they are trying to end the game with "normal" play rather than a shootout, but how far should we go? Maybe play first to hit the posts and the crossbar in a game or one-on-one?
dont like it. but i dont like the 3 on 3 in overtime either. cheapens the hard work put in before in regulation. whats next, two minutes for a body check???
