Komets add defenseman

From a Komets press release:

Sol, 23, will be entering his third pro year after registering career highs of six goals, 10 assists, 16 points and 121 penalty minutes in 65 games with Ontario in the ECHL last season.

The 6-foot, five-inch, 242-pound defenseman made his juniors debut in 2007-08 appearing in 12 games with Saginaw in the OHL.  Sol was selected by Atlanta in round 5 of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft and made his pro debut appearing in one game with Chicago of the AHL during 2009-10.  The Woodstock, Ontario native completed his five-year juniors career in 2011-12 leading Kitchener defensemen with 15 goals and 178 penalty minutes in 62 games. During 2012-13 Sol split the season skating 26 AHL games with St. John's and 25 with Colorado in the ECHL.
