Matthew Pistilli is in town, but won't play this weekend because of a sore shoulder. He'll be ready to go by the regular season... The Komets are expecting to have Shawn Szydlowski, James Martin and C.J. Severyn in camp by Friday, and to find out definitively about another player, which is likely forward Nathan Condon whom Lake Erie coach Dean Chynoweth talked about last weekend... Kaleigh Schrock won the shootout contest at the end of Tuesday night's scrimmage... Play was sloppy during the scrimmage because of turnovers. At one point, coach Gary Graham barked at both benches to cut out the toedrag (expletive deleted) and play solid hockey. Everybody seemed to get the message after that... Don't expect to see a lineup Friday night filled with guys who just got out of AHL camps. Because there haven't been enough guys in camp to scrimmage normally, Graham needs the three exhibition games to check out the guys on the bubble, including the goaltenders... A key point to the CHL absorption was that the already announced schedules could not change much which would wreck marketing plans already in place. There may be four opponent changes later in the season, but the dates will remain the same.
