Radio broadcast was 30 seconds to one minute ahead of MYTV broadcast as well

It's a problem on the video provider end, and there's not much WPTA can do about it right now, though they are trying desperately. It has to be fixed at the source. The radio has always run on a delay.

WPTA is a the mercy of everyone else on this one. Got a kick out of someone saying they are doing this on the cheap. Well, duh! Obviously has no idea how much it would cost to do this with multiple cameras and people in a union shop. It simply wouldn't get done.

The WOWO radio broadcast is so far ahead of the TV because they get to your ears/eyes through vastly different paths (not because there's a radio "delay").  I suspect this is the same problem with the MyTV broadcast.  MyTV gets the home team video feed one way and Tommy's/Kent's/whoever's commentary via another and they have significantly different (and maybe non-deterministic) path lengths.   (I don't recall this being an issue last year though.)  It's not obvious to me how one solves that problem.  I will probably just watch with the sound turned down.  After all, I don't have commentary (except from my wife) when I'm watching games in person.

Blake what's the difference between loaned or reassigned ?

I'm not absolutely certain, but here's a guess: if you are on an NHL contract, it's a loan; if you are only on an AHL contract, it's an assignment. I'll try to remember to double check tomorrow.

Turns out, I had it backwards. It's assigned and returned under contract and loaned and recalled not under NHL or AHL contract.
