Komets General Manager David Franke just said defenseman Mikael Tam is out until spring and will need shoulder surgery sometime in the next two weeks. He suffered the injury on opening night on the first shift against Indy and then played the rest of the game and then the next night.
The Komets are expecting Matt Krug to return to the lineup sometime in the next few weeks.
