I would love to know exactly where the Komets are in terms of players on the IR.

I know the K's are expected to get the youngsters time but when does Krug get off the list?  When does Severyn and Schrock get off the list, and what's up with these "penalty waiting to happen" guys, Beaupre and Muers?

I think Wednesday is going to be a pretty big game for the K's and would feel better with Beaupre, Muers, and Petryk not dressed (replaced by Nagle, and more experienced players).

Just my opinion,  but I think the last few players sent down has actually weakened the Komets roster.

I understand what some of you are saying...and it seems a little sad in a way.  Chase is a Komet legend, has won so many broadcast awards, and is one of the very, very few who has ties to all the Komet "eras".  (George Drysdale is the only other one and he beats Chase by a year).

The sad truth is that as we age things get foggier, a little less clear, and unfortunately we slow down.

With the last few years and the expanding of Fort Wayne Komet travel geography, Bob Chase has let go a little by not making those long road trips.  It's been a very good decision in my mind.  I would hate for something to happen to him, especially far away from home.

Maybe therein lies the compromise.  Find a full time radio announcer, yet welcome Bob into the booth for home games.  Maybe something could be worked out.  A three man booth with Chase filling time by rememberences and stories could work.  Don't know for sure.  At least it would keep him involved with Komet hockey.

By the way, age isn't mutually exclusive as a reason for change.  Shoegler missed  a penalty in the game Friday night despite the ref raising his arm, and the ice with only nine skaters.  What the heck was he watching?

I'm more irritated at the Komets being about 10th on WOWO's list of priorities,

always being pre-empted by other things, and now we have another

Presidential election season starting up soon, so we have more joined in

progress games.................bull!
