A 6-1 start is great, but they know tougher challenges are coming.
The next six games are on the road. Trips like this are usually a good way to see if the team is coming together or not. My gut feeling is this team is gelling nicely but they probably could use one good embarrassing loss to get them to all pull together consistently.
I know what you're trying to get at, WK. But I might suggest that giving up 3 goals in the third period of consecutive games is enough adversity.
Somebody is doing something wrong and correcting it is the challenge.
Sorry about that, WF.
I need to spend more time on the alphabet!
No problem Alan. And I generally agree with your comment on the poor third period play recently. That really should be enough adversity to straighten out any team. It has just been my experience that it usually takes something big like a 6 - 0 defeat to get a team going. Or something incredibly unusual like having your equipement manager come into a game as an emergency goalie. It's moments like those that can really pull a team together... or have them fall completely apart. I guess it really depends on the leadership of the team and how they react to the adverse conditions.
