Thought K's started strong just could not find the back of the net. One thing I am starting to notice of late is the number of questionable hits on top line guys and tonight was very noticeable. We are lacking a "toughness" factor in our forwards with Sol and Krug having to police the ice. Lepine has taken several questionable shots to our top guys and until the later part of the third nobody really took exception to it. This is something the K's are going to start seeing more and more of with teams trying to "rough-up" the Embach's etc on this club. need some guys to step up in this area in the forward department otherwise the cheap shots and stick work will continue

OK.  Holiday break, long bus trip, I can understand it a little...and I would beg to differ with the "not hurting because the other teams were idle"  point.  It was a great chance to pick up two more points on everybody.  I understand the meaning, however, and it's only one game.

I was very surprised that Bartus got the call.  Nobody had played since Sunday so (unless somebody got sick) fatique shouldn't have become a problem.  I'm not so sure that I wouldn't be scouring the "hockey world" to find another goaltender.  Scoring four goals?  With this team, that should win every game.

Wong gets a "hat trick".  When was the last time a Komet scored a "hat trick".  Maybe not that long ago, but it doesn't happen often.

Looking forward to the game tonight.  I want to see the Komets reaction to the loss.  I'd love to know what Coach Graham saw on tape. Both teams had a long bus ride so that may make things a little more equal.  We'll see.

Lots of "home" hockey this week.  I'm looking forward to the Quad City game.  I think this league has become a lot more fun since the CHL was absorbed.

Speaking of Quad City, I'm not sure what to think about them.  I mean are they that good, or is their record skewed because they always seem to play Brampton?  They've played each other so often that it's beginning to feel like the Harlem Globetrotters and the Washington Generals schedule.

The Komets are a very good team.  Maybe a tweak here and there is needed, but it's a heck of a lot more fun this year than the last few seasons.  Even the day after a loss!

I agree with you Alan, it does hurt in the points. The moments have played 27 games and are up 2 points on Toledo (26 games) and 4 points on Florida (23 games). So even if they are idle it still affects the points, and it hurts.

I have been at both games that Bartus  has played in. His guy is not even close to and ECHL goalie. In Kzoo we won inspite of him. He has no rebound control and his glove is awful. He also has no back side awareness. Please find a back up goalie.

My question was. .is Bartus really that bad? ... seems like he is based on the feedback. ..is no other goalie available? ....what happened to Levine?

The AVS may send Calvin Pickard back to LE as early as next week.  That may start the goalie shuffle once again.  The Komets may end up with one.
