Their loss. Our gain. I would still continue to start Will. He has earned it.

Welcome back Nags! Now how long before someone else calls him up?

It all depends on when Nagle got back into town, but I think I'd start him in both Kalamazoo games and then Will on Sunday.
Take away the first couple of starts, Will has been a force. In a time when the roster seemed to fluctuate daily, he was a tower of strength and basically gave the Komets a chance to win each game.
I'm wondering how long Nagle will stay. Better use him to our advantage while he's here. He should be well rested.
I'm wondering if Grand Rapids conferred with Toledo before sending him back. Just kidding!
By the way, someone mentioned to me that Kalamazoo had received six players from the AHL through their three affiliations. That was the beginning of their 9-1-1 streak.

Alan, Kalamazoo's lineup has not changed that much since the season start. They have had the same guys go back and forth. Just like we have. Just because they or any team gets player sent from the AHL, does not mean they have or will become a juggernaut. How many goals has Petryk scored for us? The AA veterans are the ones I would worry about. Thats who they worry about on our team.
Whatever night Martin starts, is the game I would really like to see us light him up. Lets get put a sun-burn on the back of his neck!

Thanks, RG2. Martin has been a thorn in the side of the Komets for a long time. I thought I read that Larkin Saalfrank signed a contract with Kalamazoo. If so, then Martin will play both games.
Like I said, someone told me about the recent player movement between the Wings affiliates and kalamazoo.

When I have been asked by friends of mine what guys have we played against would I have loved as a Komet, Joel Martin is always one of my top 2 or 3. One of the most athletic goaltenders I have ever seen, especially at the double A level. To be 100% honest, the year we played him in the playoffs(I think 2009), he was the best goaltender of that series and had his team not given up a ton of power play opportunities to the Komets(thanks Blair Stayzer and Nebus) they would have beaten us.
