Tailing the Komets

Komets have signed a player

It's Andrew Harrison from Danville of the FHL who played against them last week for Evansville and was minus-3. He played 12 games for Gary Graham at Pensacola two years ago.  He has scored 39 points and 70 points in 48 games this year with Danville.

Read Blakes article from yesterday.  Its pretty clear on why additional players are being signed.

Why are they sitting Crowder. Is he injured again?

Blake...why would Allen release a player the caliber of Jack Combs ? Big time scorer every season !

I can only guess. He pretty obviously didn't want to play there again, so Allen had little leverage for a trade. (He did go to Europe after all.) If he's coming back, and you've already replaced him on your roster and used his cap room, which I'm sure was significant, then you might not be able to afford him at this time which means you have no choice but to waive him so no one is going to make a decent offer in a trade. I'm not sure what the league rules are if they have to pay him just because he came back or not. Again, this is all speculation. I have not had any time to study it in depth.

Jack Combs left the team in December for Europe. there is an article about him in the Allen sport page when he left. You can google it. I referenced this in a post right after he left. Its about $
