Does this mean Nagel and Will are the new #Moneyline ?

Great game fighting to get back in it! Good teams win, great team figure out how to win without all their pistons firing!

Pistilli's pass to Higgs may be the best pass I've ever seen that has resulted in a goal.

For a guy who was reportedly "banged up", Krug certainly made his presence felt.  A fight and two monstrous open ice hits.

As in Saturday night's game, Thomas was a difference maker.  Again playing a limited role as the 10th forward, he was terrific.  Always hustling, involved, and played both ends of the ice.  ( I paid attention to the Al Sims definition, relayed to us by Blake Sebring).  Watching him only on his shifts, he was continually moving, bending his knees, using his legs, and he always seemed to find the puck (or maybe the puck always found him).  Although the last two games would be a small sample size, I can't see how Coach Graham can keep him at #10.  He deserves more ice time.

Now Gwinnett goes to Toledo.  Both teams playing the third game in three nights (I think).  And although Toledo has played their games at home, we may get an idea of how they compare with the Komets using Gwinnett as a measuring stick.

In my opinion:  The strongest part of the Komets team, as it stands now, is the goaltending.  When and if the called-up players return, this team is going to be real hard to handle.  It may/will result in some tough decisions also.

The ECHL rosters change so often, we'll just have to wait until Wednesday to see who is still here or who is new.

I don't see Faille coming back. Would like to see the players from Lake Erie come back. Leach and Daniels could very easily be the best D pairing in the league.

i was at quite a loss for words when this weekend i saw matt krug being used on the power play.  i thought here we are with a guy who a few weeks ago was fighting for ice time and hes now on the power play??  but you know what?  he proved to belong!  he had some great shots. his passes were crisp and he puck handled really well!  guess we might have found a diamond in the ruff there!  put this in with being the only d man who knows how to stand up a guy at the blueline and the only guy willing to fight constantly and i think he just played himself into being our best defenseman!!

Chuckitt, I have to echo your comments. Krug looked very composed. Nice low shot too.

Toledo ahead of Gwinnett 5-0 after the first period.  Gwinnett has used both goalies.  One gave up three, the other, two.

The K's scored five in two games.  This isn't good if you are comparing teams by results.

Gwinnett clearly has nothing left and has quit on the weekend...

10-0 Toledo after 2...goals coming in bunches.

There are too many variables to compare how better Toledo is based on how much they beat Gwinnett by. Comparing apples to oranges.

I personally think that running the score up like Toledo did is not acceptable. .IMO...

Shouldn't run up the score? This is pro hockey not the Park Board league. Should there be a tie in the standings I believe goals scored is used as a tie breaker.

and in mens senior league hockey, the blue team beat the white team 12-0.

On a serious note, I would be surprised if Gwinnett retains its coach after this week.

I like Jacque Plante( I think it was him)comment years ago, " how would you like a job when every time you do something wrong a red light come on behind you and 15,000 people cheer!"

Eric is correct, of course.  Way too many variables.  Still I'm a little surprised that Gwinnett got clobbered THAT bad.

Toledo scored 17 goals in the two games.  But even getting away from the offense for a bit, it's hard to ignore that they threw two shutouts in also.

Anyone notice that Brandon Wong( probably Evansville's best skilled player) gets called up to Binghampton then gets promptly assigned to Greenville, right before this Wednesday game.  Im sure there is more to this then what we read. I know he played for Greenville from 2010-2013.  Rent due there?

Wong got traded to South Carolina for Primm. They were both leading scorers for their formal teams.
