I hope graham isn't as dumb as it sounds according to Justins blog, by allowing some SPHL goalie have a crack at a team who is battling for the number 3 seed in the division!! I hope to u know who that graham isnt that dumb and lets Will go after a brilliant shutout! Do they need reminded we are not safe for the number 1 seed in the division???

Komets29, I 100% agree, however teams do this often. Most notably Toledo vs us. This is a developmental league and having Murdock who was poached from his fans in the SPHL sit would argue why we brought him up. It's the same complaint we have when our guys sit in the AHL isn't it? I say lets give a young Murdock a shot.

Michael Franke said that Murdock was going to get the start tonight.  I'm not surprised.

Here is my (admittedly) convoluted logic on this:  Even though Will posted his first shutout (and how nice was that?!), his game had been a little shaky.  I think winning the first game was huge (and I said to some friends last night) that as poached as this roster has been, I would be satisfied with winning one game this weekend.  Sometimes when a new, young, inexperienced, unknown goaltender (you choose the right description) is thrown into the fire, the team in front of him plays harder.  Sometimes the team concentrates so hard on defense that the offense relaxes a little and plays a "simpler"game.

We'll see how Murdock does.  He's certainly getting thrown into the fire.  I bet he wouldn't want it any other way.  We may not see Nagle here for a long time (if ever).

I thought Clarke played very well for his first game.  He almost scored and certainly isn't afraid to shoot.

I think Quaille has done a great job and was sorry to see him scratched last night.  I'm not surprised by Barteaux being scratched and I think this demostrates how deep the defense is especially when Tam comes back.  We'll see who plays tonight.

Obviously the forwards are in an "organized survival" mode.  With Crowder and Severyn hurt, and Embach and Szydlowski and Faille called up, this team could be very scary at playoff time.  Loved the fact that Perlini got two last night.  That defection was beautiful.

By the way, after two games with Norfolk, both Embach and Szydlowski are at 0 on the plus/minus.  (Looking at Norfolk's stats, you'd see that most everyone is a minus).

This game will be interesting.  The Komets need to skate from the opening faceoff and stay out of the box.

I told you it was convoluted!!

#5 Terry P was in the building last evening. He would have been very proud of the way the Komets played.

Will took a couple hits last night that had him getting up slowly. Perhaps he is injured.

Uh-oh.  Larkin Saalfrank added as emergency goaltender.  What's next for the Komets?

Guess there is to much water in the ice so they are rescheduling the game
