Every Komet fan would love to have Pat Nagle for the playoffs.  Some Komet fans would even love it if he turned down a promotion in order to play here.  But that isn't being realistic.

This league has been designed and molded, through the years, to be a "developmental league" for the NHL (through the AHL).  To ask, hope, or believe that a player would spurn his chances isn't being fair to that particular player.

As a player attracts attention through his play and opportunities become available, his willingness (at the least), and his ability (at he most), become visible to every AHL team.  Thus his chances for future play at the higher league increases.

The franchise, management, coaches, and players all want what is best for the individual.  Sometimes that isn't what is best for the team in terms of roster strength.  But teams (NHL-AHL), agents, and players notice how a franchise develops its players and sometimes, that brings more prospects in to camp the next season.

Sometimes it is a vicious tightrope.  Hard to balance when you want so bad for your team to be its strongest, and at the same time, for each player to reach their potential.

I think the Frankes were very proactive in bringing in Guggenberger.  A nice goaltender who has tasted success and can be relied on with confidence.

Who can tell what will happen to Nagle and Will.  Both could be called up and while Lake Erie doesn't appear to be making the AHL postseason, he could get traded (I don't think that will happen, but it could).

I want Nagle to be here.  Yet, I want him to move up, too.

That darn tightrope!

We have always been Nagle fans..love his style. ..if he goes. .good 4 him..certainly would love 2 c him stay

My bigger concern is if Will being gone and Guggenberger still not healthy. ..I think if Guggenberger is healthy. .he should be allowed 2 play as well

Will is not going anywhere because Lake Erie is not going to make the playoffs.
