I wonder if any of the team staff (like 1-0 Joe) has considered sneaking a laser rangefinder into the rink to answer the dimension question once and for all

Surprised league doesn't require exact rink measurements for their own records.

In any older facility, the chance the Rink is 200 x 85 is doubtfull. It may be impossible to enlarge without major renovation which for most of these facilities would be cost prohibitive. Actually each team zone has to be 64 feet long and thats a standard. that can be done with any rink. They just pinch the middle zone. If the width is at least 75, it works.
Joe F should take a laser rang finder out of a golf bag and see once and for all. Or if Blake is going up, take one.
It could be like a seen from Hoosiers when the coach measures the rim to the floor at the Butler fieldhouse., "boys, its 10 feet "
