D-Man added-- The Komets added defenseman Connor Kucera to the playoff roster. Prior to college, the Twin Lakes, Indiana native skated one season with Des Moines in the USHL, leading the team in plus/minus with +19 in 2010-11.
That means J.M. Rizk has been released.

I would agree with list and as expected . I think Petryk and JM would be a toss-up.
no surprises there!
Blake - do you know what Pistilli's and Schrock's statuses are, health-wise?
Also, poll question for everyone - since Kzoo and others will concentrate on slowing down the Money Line, who are going to be the breakout stars, like Syd was last year?
Both practiced today and are expecting to play Friday.
I feel sorry for Rizk but someone had to go. What will be telling is the scratches. I wonder who sits? Like last week, there will be some healthy bodies sitting in the stands watching with us!
Answer to your question- I think both the money line and Crowder's line with Pistilli and ( insert here -Heard or Perlini) will both be checked hard. As I said in previous post a few days ago, I think the 3rd line will be the line that makes or breaks the series. If the 3rd line can stay at a plus 1 or even zero( shutting other teams top line down) it will make a difference when 5 on 5. Special teams will be the other factor.
You go back in time when they have won championships and its the 3rd line that does the heavy lifting in some games.
Meurs has been officially assigned to the Komets.
Sorry to see you go J. M....hired and fired....liked you...do not agree with your going...but I am just a fan.
If the first two lines are shut down, I am not sure that the third line of Lowry, Oullett, and Schrock/Clarke will be able to do much....those first two lines will have to find a way to break thru or?
I think Mitch Heard is the wild card.
I hope he gets here in time to help.
whosuz- 3rd line does not have to score, they just have to keep the other teams top line from scoring ....thats their job.
I agree Heard should be huge for us but I could see Oullett having a breakout playoffs. He has been playing well as of late and I love his heart and how he never gives up on a play.
Or gives up the puck. LOL.
Or back checks...
