Komets are requesting a review of hit

Komets coach Gary Graham announced this morning he is requesting a review from the ECHL on the hit involving Toledo's A.J. Jenks and the Komets' Shawn Szydlowski.

"No doubt after review Jenks went knee-on-knee. Jenks never tried to play the puck. Clearly aggressor and therefore needs to be in total control of contact. Szyd is reaching for puck, hands extended in defenseless position."

Komets are not asking for a review of Heard hit.

That seems crazy for me.  If anything its going to be way harder to prove intent to injure by Jenks than the hit by Lampl.  Lampl lined him up from the top of the circle on the other side and blasted him.  If that isn't an intentional charge with intent to injure I have no idea what is.  My only guess is that they were afraid that if they had the league challenge that, then Toledo in turn would review the boarding by Heard.

I would be shocked if Jenks got suspended to be honest.  Its like Auger/Gens all over again.

He did have his head down. The question would be did he leave his feet to deliver the blow.

Who.. What have you been watching lacasse is the 2nd biggest liability on the ice next to Sol an there both on D?? Rookie is solid.. Play Lowry for Syd .. They both are slow in defense and make poor decisions..
